Right now I should be studying for the final I have tomorrow that I have yet to study for. Instead I'm going to write about Beyoncé.
This past weekend I went to her concert in Phoenix, Arizona. If you know me, you know my love/admiration/slight obsession for Beyoncé.
First let me just say, I made the most awesome sign and security wouldn't let me bring it it! That was my first step in getting spotted by her. So let me just thank the US Airways Center for ruining my chances of getting spotted, and meeting her!
Second. I wore my "I met God she's black" shirt. Perfect for the occasion. (I know someone is going to comment about her being in the illumanati and how dare I compare her to God, which I am not doing, so please take a seat).
Back to the point of this post.
If you ever have the opportunity to attend one of her concerts take it! And for those of you on the money struggle bus just Youtube some of her concerts (Live at Roseland is my fave). She is the epitome of an entertainer. You can tell she truly enjoys every moment on stage as she engages the crowd. Not to mention, she makes singing look so easy. I mean easy. She opened her mouth and I swear heaven came out. You don't have to love Beyoncé, but I think we all can agree that her live performances are just as amazing as the recordings or better (have you heard 1+1 live? gave me life) This is probably why I still think there's a possibility I could be the next Beyoncé/Whitney/Mariah all in one.
Also, can I just mention how flawless she appears. Now. I know that as a performer she needs to look the part, but OMG. I hope I look as good as she does when I'm 32.
Sasha Fierce, is the real deal. She engages the crowds, she gives us sex appeal, and she most importantly she entertains from start to finish.
Beyoncé, if you're reading this let me know when I can audition to be dancer or one of the back-up singers backup.
I gotchu boo. Also, please tell me how you curl your hair!

Something told me to blog about Beyoncé today! I just finished watching the season finale of Scandal with my girls and BAM. The Queen shocked us all.
This visual album is pure genius. If you want to see my rant check out my Twitter. I don't think anyone expected this out of Beyoncé, or the industry in general. This is why I love her. This woman loves her job. She is so passionate and motivated to be the best. She doesn't produce mediocre material. This visual album (available on iTunes for $15.99) put her in the league with Michael Jackson, Madonna, & Prince to name a few. She said she "sees music" and I'm so glad she shared her vision with us. It's new. It's refreshing. It's an "immersive experience" as Beyoncé put it.
I'm excited to see where this takes the rest of the music industry! Hopefully this is what was needed to get back to artists being TRUE artist and making REAL music.
